First Security Group has acquired FAST, First Aid and Safety Training Consultants, as an addition to its already extensive range of security and related services offerings.
Headed by Noel Dancy, previously MD of FAST, First Security Group Health and Safety will provide a comprehensive range of first aid, fire safety and occupational health and safety training courses, ranging from basic, introductory courses to specialized training that compiles with UK statutory requirements.
In keeping with First Security Group's overall commitment to quality, all first aid training courses are accredited by the British St. John Ambulance organization, which is globally known and respected as a provider of specialist first aid training and services. The company's first aid training centre was also the first St. John Ambulance (SJA) Licensed Training Centre in the United Arab Emirates.
The team has been providing first aid and safety training to premier corporate and industrial organizations, major hotel groups, government agencies, the military, schools, embassies and community groups in the UAE and the Gulf region since 1999 and has also provided first line emergency support and ambulance services at a number of large events and numerous desert safaris in the region.
First Security Group Health and Safety will be training between 400 and 500 delegates each month.
First Security Group Health and Safety also has a purpose-built fire training module designed for practical training on the correct use of fire extinguishers. This gives candidates hands-on experience in the use of a range of fire extinguishers. During the training, actual fires are started and candidates are instructed and given the opportunity to douse the fires, ensuring their proficiency in this regard before the end of the training.
