Mr. Japie Uys - Division Manager, Training Centre

Japie Uys joined FSG with 31 years of experience in the field of law enforcement and security training. He holds a Bachelors degree in Education Administration. As an officer in the SAPS, he served as training officer in the Public Order Policing Unit and was in this capacity directly involved in the development of the crowd management training policy, training material and trainers of the South African Police Service.

Prior to his resignation from the SAPS and relocating to the UAE, he was the Commanding Officer of the High Risk Teams in the Tugela and Mfolozi Police districts. He served as a member of the Transformation Task team during the pre-1994 elections as well as the Tactical Intervention teams.

In August 2000 he joined the Gen. Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police as training expert and work with the Guarding Unit and later at Police HQ, Training and Development Department. On resignation he joined a local training institution as General Manager prior to his appointment with FSG.

Japie owned and managed his own security company in South Africa and later owned and managed his own training company, providing law enforcement and security training to Government institutions in the GULF and North Africa.

Mr. Simon L'empriere (Trainer)

Simon served a total of twelve years with the British Army, the last ten years being with Special Forces. His last two years of service were spent training and selecting recruits for UK Special Forces.

In recent years he worked for several security companies providing close protection to clients ranging from engineers to celebrities. Having operated and exercised in various parts of the world he contributes a wide-range of experience to the team.
