First Specialist Training

"Training your workforce to meet the new security licensing requirements"

Introduction

The security industry in the UAE and Dubai in particular is undergoing major changes. The most significant being the requirement for the industry to comply with a new regulatory framework. This regulation mandates that all personnel engaged in the security industry are issued with a license. The purpose of this is to create commonality and consistency in security operations and to ensure all security companies operate in a professional manner deploying appropriately certified and competent personnel.

First Specialist Training (FST) provides training that meets government regulations for licensing and ensures that your staff have the right competencies to do their job with a pathway to further qualification and improvement.

Specialist Training from Australia

FST has introduced the Australian Vocational Training System and qualification recognition system for application within its training programmes. The Australian Qualification Framework offers a highly suitable structure for the recognition of competence for security personnel. FST is incorporating the Asset Security Training Package and is awarding qualifications in accordance with international standards as required by the UAE Ministry of Interior.

Training Focus

For the initial Dubai licensing requirements, FST will provide a “Certificate I” in Security Operations - enhanced to reflect the UAE operating environment that will focus on the following competencies:

  • Follow Workplace Safety Procedures
  • Apply Basic Communication Skills
  • Prepare for Work in the Security Industry
  • Control Access to and Exit from Premises
  • Patrol Premises
