NOEL DANCY (Division Manager & Chief Trainer)
I Eng, MSOE, MIRTE, MILM
Noel’s background and experience centres around twenty-five years military service with the British army. As a keen sportsman, and being naturally outgoing, he became an instructor in both his trade, specialist military skills, and the various sports he participated in, enhancing this by qualifying as a teacher and St John Ambulance trainer. He is also a RLSS Trainer/Assessor and currently the only STA Senior Tutor in the Middle East. On leaving the army he came to the UAE to work as a specialist instructor for the military in Abu Dhabi. From there he joined the Dubai Aviation College, initially as an instructor. Over a period of time his role developed to Facilities Manager, allowing him to continue running First Aid courses when requested by corporate clients.
Recognising the need for professional first aid training and occupational health and safety services here in the UAE, he left the college and started FAST (First Aid & Safety Training) Consultants, which has evolved into the current FSG TD Division. He now leads a team of dedicated professionals with the same enthusiasm and commitment, bringing international standards in Health and Safety to the Middle East.
IAN MULDOON (Senior Trainer)
Ian enjoyed a successful 25 year career in the Royal Navy. After completing his service with the Navy he embarked on a fresh career in the leisure industry, undertaking various courses such as lifeguard and swimming teaching. He also completed an HNC in Leisure Management.
Ian steadily upgraded his qualifications in this field with each new venture he undertook. These included Pool Plant Operator, Swimming Teacher and Examiner, Teacher Examiner-Lifeguarding and First Aid at Work Trainer. His experience and knowledge resulted in his previous appointment as the Swimming Teachers Association’s Development Officer for Scotland. During this time he continued to teach various courses and always enjoys the challenges presented by training.
Over the past 10 years Ian has used a flexible and adaptable approach to his varied duties whilst maintaining a high standard of working practice. His mission is to help people of various ages to enjoy there leisure activities in a safe and healthy environment.
He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of current UK practices to FSG’s TD team in Dubai.
SHARON McGHEE (Senior Trainer)
Sharon came to Dubai in April 2007, following a successful 22 year career in the leisure industry, mainly at Swimming Pools and Leisure Centres in Scotland. Starting as a Pool Lifeguard her last post was as Operations Manager of a pool/gym complex in Perthshire, Scotland.
As a Pool Lifeguard Trainer Assessor she was a member of the work group tasked with achieving Approved Training Centre status for Perth and Kinross Leisure and was also responsible for the co-ordination of all lifeguard training at Perth Leisure Pool. This included the total reorganisation of the training programme following a completely revised syllabus in 2001.
Sharon also brings swimming skills to the group as an ASA Level 2 Swimming Teacher, and one of her aims is to make swimming available to all as a key “life skill” Sharon enjoys a physical challenge, and hopes that her example will encourage other ladies to participate in swimming.
ZAMIR DUISHEEV (Trainer)
In 1999 Zamir decided on a career change and moved from Kyrgyzstan to the U.A.E. to take up a new challenge. He started work in the leisure industry as a lifeguard and after gaining the relevant experience went on to become a senior lifeguard. On joining FSG he completed the qualifications required to become a trainer, and is now actively involved in teaching First Aid and Pool Lifeguard Courses.
When not in the water Zamir keeps fit playing soccer and practicing martial arts.
WENDY YOUNG (Senior Trainer)
Wendy arrived in Dubai from Perth, Scotland in April 2007 after spending 7 years working in the UK leisure industry, initially as a lifeguard, then in a management role after studying at Stirling University.
As a lifeguard at Perth Leisure pool in 2000 she qualified as a Level 2 ASA Swimming Teacher and Gym Instructor. Her next role as Duty Officer at Stirling University in 2002 enabled her to became a First Aid Instructor, and then in 2003 a NaRS Teacher/Examiner for both Pool Lifeguard and First Aid. Wendy has been delivering courses in Pool Lifeguard, Pool Attendant and First Aid in the UK for the past 4 years, and led the coordination of all staff training and development in her previous role.
Wendy’s additional swimming teacher skills compliment the team, and her sense of humour has quickly made her a popular choice with both her team mates and clients.
